In October of 2005 nearly all of the housing stock in the northern Pakistan town of Hillkot was destroyed when a massive earthquake hit the mountainous region. Sarah recently spent five and a half weeks helping introduce strawbale construction, assisting in a training/rebuilding project using baled straw with earthen plasters. Her pictures will include details of the unique strawbale building process, observations of other building techniques, earthquake devastation, and other scenes from Pakistan.
